Al-Houthi bomb Hees and Tahita  and destroy the 22 May hospital in Hodeidah


Houthis militias on Friday renewed their shelling of villages, neighbourhoods and military positions in the directorates of Hees and Al-Tahita, south of the coastal city of Hodeidah, west of Yemen.

Local sources told Al-Masdar online that the militias shelled by mortar shells, Howzer cannons, villages and farms in Al-Jabalyah area of Tahita  Directorate, in addition to targeting the movements of citizens with snipers and machine guns.

Houthi militias used heavy artillery, tanks and mortar shells, also bombed the positions of the government forces north and east of Hees District on Friday.

In a related context, Houthi militias shelled on Thursday the 22 May  Hospital of Ikhwan Thabet Group, southeast of Hodeidah City, resulted in the burning of the second and third floors of the hospital bulding and the destruction of its contents.

The escalation follows meetings held by the UN envoy and the Chief International observer with Yemeni vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh, during which he discussed the correction of the unilateral deployment carried out by the Houthis during the month of May and rejected by the Yemeni government, which has not been involved in censorship and verification.
