Colonel killed in Taiz immigration by soldier's gunfire and the department announces suspension of work


The director of personnel at the Immigration and Passports Department in Taiz province was shot dead Tuesday morning by a soldier in the military police.

Witnesses told Al-Masdar Online that Colonel Nasr Muharram, director of personnel affairs at the Passport Department, was shot dead by a soldier in the military police after verbal dispute  between them as the soldier climbed over the fence.

According to witnesses, after the incident, police forces attacked citizens, including women, and confiscated the phones of those who tried to film the crime and the assault.

The Head of the Immigration and Passports Department announced the suspension of work in the branch until their demands for the arrest of the perpetrator were implemented and criminals brought to justice.
