Confirming the convening of parliament after Eid. Al-Barakani: Any regional practices against citizens in Aden serve the Houthis

The speaker of the House of Representatives, Sheikh Sultan al- Barakani, said that every drop of Yemeni blood that flows, tampers with any citizen, or any party practices in Aden under any regional or political designation, serves Houthi militias and the group as the sole beneficiary.

Al- Barakani added in a tweet on his Twitter account, that the presidency of parliament is in constant contact with the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the Interior Minister and the Governor of Aden, and in contact with brothers in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, about what is going on in Aden.

Al- Barakani stressed the parliament's concern for the safety of citizens and is making continuous efforts, pointing to his meeting with one of the brothers, without naming him, about what is going on in Aden.

Al- Barakani said that the House of Representatives will resume its functions after Eid and do its part and duty.

Earlier in the day, writer and political analyst Mustafa Ahmed Noman criticized the role of the House of Representatives in the current political scene, saying in a tweet "The House of Representatives was awakened for a specific task and then returned to hibernation! The Council theoretically represents the people, but it did not dare to make a statement worth the paid salaries of its members about what is going on in Aden against every northerner!

Noman wondered how much the House of Representatives is tied to President Hadi? "The Council has never been concerned with people or their concerns, but by arranging the situation of its members!"

Aden has been witnessing mass deportations of northern  citizens from the southern regions since Thursday, and the residents of street vendors from the northern regions have been hunted and attacked by elements affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council and the UAE, as a retaliation of the killing of a number of members and leaders of the security belt  by a rocket fired by Houthi militias at Al-Jala a'a camp in Aden.
