Groups from Yafi’a arrive at performances Plaza to participate in an event condemning the death of Abu Al-Yamamah


A group of citizens from the directorates of Lahj and Abyan provinces arrived at performances plaza in the interim capital Aden on Monday afternoon to participate in a mass rally to take part in an event condemning the killing of Brig. Gen. Munir al-Yafei (Abu Al-Yamama).

Al-Masdar online correspondent said that quoting residents in the departments of Khormaksar and Dar Saad that transport buses and military and civilian cars entered the city from the north and east gates of Aden and then went to the performances plaza in Khormaksar to participate in a mass gathering and a large meeting to discuss the incident of the killing of Brigadier Munir Al-Yafei (Abu Al-Yamama) and a number of the activities of  (security belt) forces in order to come up with decisions that may include taking steps of escalation against the government as well as discussing the causes and motives that led to the incident, according to the statement calling for the gathering, and taking decisions.

Al-Houthi militia claimed responsibility for the attack on the Al-Jala camp, where Abu al-Yamama and 36 members of the security belt forces were killed, but the leadership of the Transitional Council demanding the secession of southern Yemen confirmed that it was continuing to investigate who was behind the operation.

In the past two days, Aden has witnessed a campaign of persecution and forced deportation of thousands of citizens belonging to the northern provinces and the detention of others at the entrances to the city of Aden, accompanied by a widespread campaign of incitement launched by separatist movement activists against citizens belonging to the northern provinces and holding them responsible for Aden events as spies and sleeper cells.
