4 soldiers killed and injured in Hadhramaut coast mine explosion


Two soldiers from the second military zone on the Hadhramaut coast were killed Saturday after an explosion at al-Rayyan camp east of Al-Mukalla.

A military source told Al-Masdar Online that the explosion was caused by an error in the transfer of mines inside the camp, which killed two soldiers and injured two others.

The second military zone of Al-Rayyan camp, a remote of the population, was taken as a reservoir of mines, which was removed after the province was liberated from al-Qaeda in 2016.

The forces of the second military zone, led by Hadhramaut governor Maj. Gen. Faraj al-Bahasani, are deployed in the directorates of the Hadhramaut coast, and are joined by the Hadhrami elite forces established by the UAE.
