Al-Houthi militias on Wednesday intensified sniping operations on the movements and homes of civilians in areas north of Hees district in southern Hodeidah, western Yemen.

A local source told Al-Masdar Online that Houthi militias intensified sniping operations on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning against civilians on roads and farms north and east of Hees district.

According to the source, the child, Idris Thabet Hamid Qahtan (4 years old), and Aisha Ahmed Hamid Qahtan (4 months) were injured while they were with a relative on a motorcycle on their way to the village of Al-Shu'aina.

In a related context, Houthi militias shelled with heavy guns and medium machine guns on Wednesday, the positions of the joint forces east of Tahita and Drehimi directorates south of Hodeidah.
