Killed and wounded in clashes between Houthi and tribal gunmen in Al-Nadera, east of Ibb

Al-Houthi militia on Monday stormed a number of towns and villages in Central Province of Ibb and clashed with tribal gunmen, resulted in killing and wounding on both sides.

According to local sources, clashes broke out during the incursion of Houthi gunmen into the village of "Al-Ejlah", the Village of Abdul-Qawi Fadhil and other villages in al-Nadera district in eastern Ibb province, killing three of Beit Fadhil family, including a leader of the Popular Congress Party.

A local source said that a number of villagers resisted with their personal weapons as the militia stormed their towns.

According to the sources, the dead from Beit Fadhil are "Khawlan Fadhil", one of the most prominent local leaders affiliated with Saleh's party, in addition to the killing of "Mutai Ali Abdo Fadhil" and a third person named Abu Ammar.

The sources said that the militia aimed through its campaign on the areas of Beit Fadhil to kidnap a number of its wanted and confiscate the weapons held by the people of the area after the events and confrontations witnessed in the area of Al-Oud between the Houthis and the residents of the area last March.

Sheikh Aqeel Fadhil, chairman of the General People's Congress in Ibb Saleh faction in the province, belongs to the Beit Fadhil family in Al-Nadera district and their areas have been raided, while Hizam Fadhil, a member of parliament, is accused of being one of the most prominent figures who facilitated the Houthis entry into al-Oud areas in Al-Nadera Directorate.
